"Jatki" Art Gallery Bureau of Art Exhibitions in Nowy Targ Branch of the Małopolska Cultural Center SOKÓŁ in Nowy Sącz
The "Jatki" Art Gallery in Nowy Targ has existed since September 28, 1991. It is the only professional gallery in the city, which until January 1, 2011. was a branch of the Bureau of Art Exhibitions in Nowy Sącz. Currently, it operates as a branch of the "SOKÓŁ" Cultural Center in Małopolska in Nowy Sącz.

The gallery is located in a nineteenth century historic building, which in the past was erected for the purpose of city jatki. The aim of the Gallery is to present and disseminate professional art. The twenty-year activity of this institution abounded in a number of exhibitions presenting the diverse art of professional artists. The Gallery hosted vernissages, including: Barbara Gawdzik Brzozowska and prof. Tadeusz Brzozowski, prof. Antoni Zydronia prof. Irena Popiołek, prof. Krystyna Jaguczańska Śliwińska, prof. Ewa Kutermak - Madej, prof. Halina Stawowy - Dombrowska, prof. Stanisława Rodziński, prof. Andrzej Gierag, prof. Adam Wsiołkowski, prof. Stanisława Baja, prof. Stanisława Batrucha, prof. Allan Rzepki, Professor Tadeusz Śliwiński, prof. Stanisław Sobolewski, prof. Jerzy Jędrysiak, prof. Michał Kliś, prof. Andrzej Guttfeld, prof. Władysław Szczepański, prof. Kamila Kuskowski, Teresa Zydroń, Marianna Belca - Kuskowska, Marta Gąsienica - Szostak, Stanisław Kuskowski, Jan Sawka, Arkadiusz Waloch, Marina Gromada, Krzysztof Kulisi, Janusz Lewandowski, Stanisław Mazuś and many, many others. In "Jatki", the TOP - ARTU and Triennial 100 Cities collections were also presented. The 2000 exhibition was an exhibition titled: "BIBLICAL IMAGES" by Marc Chagall, which was borrowed from the Archdiocesan Museum in Cologne. In October 2005, at the MBWA "Jatki" Gallery, an exhibition entitled "The Picasso Alphabet", borrowed from the National Museum in Warsaw, was presented. The gallery also presents the work of many generations of Nowy Sącz artists during the annual vernissage. INNOVATIVE PRESENTATIONS.

"Jatki" at the turn of 20 years of its activity has also become a kind of center with a broadly defined cultural spectrum, expanding its artistic offer by organizing concerts, theater performances, author meetings, poetry evenings, charity auctions and other forms of cultural activity. Children and youth also come to the Gallery - willingly participating in the joint painting as part of the cycle "Taming with art". Works are displayed on the windows of the gallery, attracting new sympathizers of art.
