The BWA SOKOL Gallery of Contemporary Art invites you to see the painting exhibition "Wandered and Forests, Mountains and Sky Wojciech Wegrzynski".
Free, luminous, friendly to nature and objects created in its image, rooted in deep corners and open to vitality space of painter’s poetry. A poetic tale resonates with color, painting structure and texture, emanates transparency and clarity of its author. Unique unity of the painter and his art; it seems that one could not exist without the other. The word and the image, silent in their essence, trigger a stream of feelings, meanings and moods. The scratched blades of paintings offer as many delights and reflections on the sense of the great world, on its horizon-free perspective, the world which simply exists. It exists in itself, and also in the incredible expression and sound of the unique painting language of the poet and painter. A poet of word sounds, their original combination, the sound of color, light, free forms of written text, which is unified by a secret rhythm of poetic stanza and painted image. Wojciech Węgrzyński – a painter-poet, a poet-painter, a wise, spiritual optimist with a delicate, tender heart.

Tiptoeing quietly, in this world of insolent stamp, chaos, boundless stupidity, a poet is walking. He has not put shoes with special heels, has not tattooed on his forehead (or anywhere else) that he is an artist. In his paintings, he has not attempted a dialogue with politics or religion, he does not knock on the door of success. That who Wojtek Węgrzyński is. He will sooner find some common ground with an ant carrying the whole world on its back or with a butterfly that has taught him colors, a turtle of philosophy or an elephant of composure than with you – ordinary human being. Wojtek sees more. He makes his apt comments in a carefully selected notebook. And then he knows how to paint a picture. He is ready for this act of courage.

You know what? All my work is a small confession of faith. My faith in instigations. My faith in something which, if given ample explanation, sounds credible enough. Because the world? Well, it simply boggles our mind.
