About us
Building of the BWA SOKÓŁ Gallery was erected in the years 2008-2010. It’s situated in direct vicinity of MCK SOKÓŁ, and is a modern wing of the old building. The gallery is a four stories high, and has a total surface of 2000 m². The object has two exhibition halls (covering a total area of about 400 m²), an auditorium with 240 seats, didactic halls and a storage facility. The project was made by KKM KOZIEŃ Architekci s.c. company from Krakow, and under direction of dr Marek Kozień, dr Magdalena Kozień-Woźniak and Katarzyna Kozień-Kornecka. The contractor was Konsorcjum Firm: F.U. EKO-REM-BUD of Jan Cabak from Łabowa and F.B. Konsbud of Jan Konstanty from Nowy Sącz. The project was established due to European Union funds from the European Regional Development Fund under the Malopolska Regional Operational Programme for 2007-2013, with the combined efforts of the Government of the Malopolska Region and SOKÓŁ Małopolska Culture Centre in Nowy Sącz, which was the investor.
