BWA SOKÓŁ Gallery of Contemporary Art invites you to the opening of Maciej Linttner's exhibition, titled "What has happened is still happening," which will take place on Friday, February 10 at 6:00 pm.
Maciej Linttner’s output constitutes the search for mutual relations between painting and literature. The spread between attempts at grasping the effects of everyday life through imaging or recording makes these activities the bond of a specific diary. In addition to paintings, books are created, and their formal relations, aimed at obtaining totally new quality, combine traces of both painting and writing origin. For many years Maciej Linttner has been developing a peculiar form of his own library, consisting of separate projects, whose purpose is to constitute an ideological and formal entity.
He is an author of numerous individual exhibitions and a participant of many collective exhibitions. Maciej Linttner’s artistic and pedagogical activities are connected with the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice, where he runs one of Drawing Ateliers.
