Zuzanna Tomaś’s painting exhibition is an extraordinary poem about humanity, rendered in color and line. The artist invites us into a world where physicality meets spirituality, and a fleeting moment is captured in the painterly “field of time.”
Zuzanna Tomaś’s painting exhibition is a remarkable expression of her fascination with humanity, the human body, and spirituality. The artist employs a refined painterly language in which saturated planes of color intertwine with a dynamic world of lines. Her work, rooted in childhood memories of the play of light and shadow, weaves an intimate narrative about the constant flux of human existence. The compositions on canvas are not merely a representation of space, but a “field of time” that allows us to capture moments impossible to capture even through photography. The artist’s paintings function like the stanzas of a poem, revealing the richness of our internal and external transformations. The viewer is invited into a world where nothing is unambiguously defined, and beauty lies in the very process of “becoming.”

Zuzanna Tomaś-Krynicka - born in 1957. From 1980 to 1985, she studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. She is a graduate of the Department of Painting. She developed her artistic skills in the studios of Prof. Ludwik Maciąg, Prof. Wiesław Kruczkowski, and in the Wall Techniques Studio of Prof. Ryszard Wojciechowski. She completed her diploma project in the studio of Prof. Rajmund Ziemski, for which she received an honorable mention and a scholarship from the Ministry of Culture and Art.
She is a faculty member at the Faculty of Conservation and Restoration of Works of Art in Warsaw and a professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in the Department of General Art Education. She has participated in exhibitions in Poland and abroad. Her works are held in private collections in Poland, Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Canada, and Russia. She works in painting, drawing, and digital graphics.
