Exhibition dedicated to contemporary architecture, whose protagonist was one of the most famous and promising Polish architects of the middle generation.
The exhibition presented the whole way of the creative architect Robert Konieczny and his studio KWK PROMES. The exhibition shows, among others designs and implementations of single-family houses, which brought him international recognition and fame, but also the latest projects and realizations related to public space.

The architecture created by Robert Konieczny is a functional, carefully thought out, unnecessary decorations. Simplicity, harmony, clear proportions and brightness of solutions give excellent results. The architect invariably applies the method of logical approach to design, subordinating the process of applied solutions to thoughts, in which the chosen aesthetics is the resultant of the choices made. As written in Wallpaper:

KWK Promes develops every project with a simple key, the expressive idea is consistently run from concept to last drawing. All the details of the building, its technology, structure, form and materials are the result of the main idea. Architects believe that such design gives them freedom to overcome habits and create new architectural spaces and concepts.

Robert Konieczny founded KWK Promes together with Marlene Wolnik in 1999. Currently, he is the head of the office himself. KWK Promes has many domestic and foreign prizes for completed and unrealized projects. His project of the House of the Silesian Land created together with Marlena Wolnik was considered one of the icons of Polish architecture. For the same project in 2002, he was nominated for the European Foundation Award Mies van der Rohe. He has twice won the nomination for the Open House (together with Marlena Wolnik) in 2004 and the Aatrial House in 2006. The latter received the title of House of the Year 2006 by winning the prestigious World Architecture News competition (Konieczny was the first Pole to qualify for the competition). In 2007, KWK Promes was included on the Wallpaper - 101 list of the most exciting architectural offices in the world (as the only one from Poland). In 2007, the Spanish publishing house Scalae awarded KWK Promes to the group of 44 best young architects in the world. In addition, during the second International Competition for Young Architects Leonardo 2007 organized in Minsk, Belarus, KWK Promes won: gold medal for the Hidden House project, Grand Prix cup for the Aatrialny House in the category of the best realization and a special prize of the Union of Russian Architects. In 2008, Robert Konieczny became a laureate of Europe 40 under 40 - Europe's Emerging Young Architects and Designers, awarded by The European Center for Architecture Design and Urban Studies and The Chicago Athenaeum. In the same year, the Aatrial House and the Hidden House were recognized by the same group as the best buildings in the world of 2008 (The International Architecture Awards 2008). In 2008, the Outrium House and Safe House were also nominated for the European Mies van der Rohe award (in total 5 nominations for the Mies van der Rohe European Award). In 2011, Robert Konieczny was awarded the Annual Prize of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage in the field of architecture.
