The PASSE-PARTOUT exhibition is the latest installment in a recurring series showcasing the work of academic teachers from the Department of Art Education and Visual Arts, as well as students in art and design courses - Graphic Design and Visual Technologies (bachelor’s degree) and User-Centered Design of New Media (master’s degree), at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Arts, Academy of Applied Sciences in Nowy Sącz.

The exhibition features selected works by faculty members of the Department who teach specialized courses in various fields of art, as well as in graphic design and UX design. Furthermore, the faculty members are active artists and designers who express themselves through a variety of artistic media, blending tradition with modernity. The student works on display, created under the guidance of faculty members during numerous art and design courses, exemplify an open educational approach that prioritizes development, high quality, and an individualized approach to each student.

PASSE-PARTOUT – a frame commonly used in art to mount works on paper; loosely translated from French, the term also means “to show everything.” To show everything—in art, art education, art and design education, combining the quality of education with individuality, sensitivity, and openness to others, and shaping future artists and designers with a keen eye for the surrounding world.

About degree programs:

The Faculty of Social Sciences and Arts at the Academy of Applied Sciences in Nowy Sącz offers courses in modern, market-driven arts and design fields, leading to two professions: graphic designer and UX designer.

The Graphic Design and Visual Technologies course is designed to meet the market’s demand for professionals in the field of applied design. Students in the GDiTW program acquire and develop their design skills using professional graphics software, such as the Adobe suite, and create functional visual works for a variety of social and economic entities.

The GDiTW program provides comprehensive technical training in the field of visual technologies and digital media used in contemporary artistic design. The program offers numerous courses, including visual communication, graphic design, DTP, infographics, raster and vector graphics, multimedia graphics, studio and artistic photography, the basics of programming, computer game development technologies, short-form film (short films and music videos), and many others that enable students to master advanced computer-aided design.

The Department’s academic offerings also include a master’s degree program: User-Centered Design of New Media. The program covers UX design topics in two main areas: user-centered design (e.g., visual advertising design, visual identity and product promotion, graphic interface design, mobile app design, interactive media), as well as courses in the field of new media. The PZUNM program prepares students to work in interdisciplinary project teams focused on user needs.

The programs in these fields of study also offer courses taught in English (optional), in line with the needs of today’s job market, as contemporary artists and designers most often collaborate on international design teams, including online.

Classes in the art and design programs at the Academy of Applied Sciences in Nowy Sącz (Department of Art Education and Visual Arts) are taught by a highly specialized faculty in a friendly and creative atmosphere.
