What is the significance of Antonisz in the landscape of Polish culture? Can you find even intermediate followers of his artistic path? What is the core of Antonisz's work and is its main message? What, above all, does he need to remember?
he aim of the project is to remind the character of Julian Antonisz and his work in the most exhaustive way, simultaneously placing it in broader contexts, especially contemporary ones. The basic issue becomes the interpretation, because the work of Antonisz will be presented after "filtering" by the work of the figure of contemporary Polish culture, which are in a sense related to him. Julian Antonisz will be shown as an interdisciplinary artist and, as it were, self-sufficient. The place of commemorating his achievements is not accidental - the project is the first attempt to present the artist's work in his hometown.
In the center of the project there will be an exhibition created as a result of cooperation between Sabina and Malwina Antoniszczak, daughters of Julian, and Robert Kuśmirowski. The musical-visual performance of Wojciech Waglewski and the Voo Voo band together with Michał Jacaszek will also be an attempt to interpret and dialogue two outstanding personalities.
