On Friday, April 21, at 6:00 pm., we invite you to the BWA SOKOL Contemporary Art Gallery for the opening of an exhibition of sculpture by Grzegorz Witek.
Grzegorz Witek
Was born in 1976 in Ciężkowice. In 1996 he graduated from State Fine Arts Comprehensive School in Tarnów, in 1991–1992 he was a grant holder of the National Fund for Children. In 1996 he started studies at Faculty of Sculpture at Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. He graduated from academy, receiving the rector’s distinction, in 2001 in the sculpture atelier of professor Adam Myjak. Since 2002 he has worked as a teacher at Faculty of Sculpture at his Alma Mater (he was an assistant to professor Jan Kucz and professor Piotr Gawron). In 2003 he received a scholarship of the Minister of Culture and Art. In 2010 he obtained a PhD degree and in 2016 – a post-doctoral degree in Fine Arts. Since 2016 he has run a sculpture atelier for 1st year students at Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw.
He has presented his works at 20 solo exhibitions and participated in more than 60 group exhibitions in Poland and abroad.
