A vernissage of an exhibition of nude and portrait photography from an en plein air event of the AfP [Nude Photography and Portrait] Creative Group of the Photo Club of the Republic of Poland - Association of Creators. Every photograph is a result of trust, passion, and continuous search for beauty, both in a fleeting gesture and in a penetrating gaze.

En plein air photography events are considered an ideal environment in which portrait photography, the art of the nude and the study of human body gain an extraordinary depth and authenticity. It is precisely in nature, away from the laboratory-like sterility of a studio, that photographers from the dynamic AfP [Nude Photography and Portraiture] Creative Group of the Photo Club of the Republic of Poland - Association of Creators could experiment fully with natural light. The sun and the shadow, like painter’s brushes, delicately formed the contours and applied an ephemeral coating to the skin of models.

In this unique dialogue of light and form, human body is captured either in the subtle nuances of portraiture, or in the daring nude in which it transformed itself into canvas for artistic expression. The photographers became interpreters of its story, their goal – to capture that intimate, magic moment in which posing yields to the truth and the camera lens registers the essence of the person being portrayed: their emotions, their concealed fragility and internal strength. It is precisely in this intense interaction between the model and the artist where photographs are born, possessing the ability not only to present, but also to tell a profound narrative.

Participating photographers:
Ewa Bijak, Jan Brdej, Daniel Ejsymont, Sylwia Ejsymont, Dorota Jakubowska, Adam Jakubowski, Bożena Kostowal, Dariusz Łaski, Piotr Powierża, Alicja Przybyszowska, Piotr Rozmus, Gerard Stefaniak, Anna Suchcicka, Marta Szyzdek, Edward Tomaszewski, Maria Bogusława Wójcik, Bożena Zdanowicz.

An intense, three-day marathon of artistic exploration, marked by constant clicking of camera shutters and the excitement of capturing the elusive perfect moment, took place on 30 May 2024 to 2 June 2024 in the region of Podlasie in north-eastern Poland. Now, when the excitement died down and the photographers returned to their daily routine, what remained for them is far more precious than memories alone: an irrepressible will to continue this kind of artistic activity and an impressive amount of photographic material that makes evident their unwavering passion.

This exhibition will be on view until 11 January 2026.
