"... Biernacki’s painting is the painting of gesture, in which people entangled in their own corporality constitute an intriguing union with reality created by the painting. The above-mentioned space of the painting, apart from its matter, significantly intensifies sensitive understatements and anatomical shortcuts used by Andrzej Biernacki in a masterly way. His paintings do not attack the place of exhibition, do not thicken the interior, but on the contrary, they open painting windows and invite us outside the institutional walls. He does not like giving names to his paintings, therefore he avoids titles that would explain or suggest too much, as he does not want to spoil their individual perception. Instead, he compensates for this “deficit” with intelligently provocative and humorous titles of his exhibitions and artistic events. This time he is inviting us to the art gallery in Nowy Sącz to sensitively revolve bodies with him.
