Gallery BWA SOKÓŁ
The Minefield exhibition is an interdisciplinary artistic event focused on the issue of contemporary art in the context of young artists and their activites in the field of contemporary art. This is the first project at the BWA SOKÓŁ Gallery dealing with the situation of young artists in such a complex way as to open the discussion to their problems and draw attention to the challenges they have to face.
Artists who received diplomas with honours at the end of their artistic studies were selected for the exhibition. The most interesting firstworks created after the diploma will be analyzed. The aim of the exhibition is to present the works of those artists who are not yet connected with the institutions of the world of art, but who try to existin he space of art themselves, who avoid the dangers associated with moving around in the world of art, mainly those related to its commercialization and help them to take the first signficant step in the field of art.
After the vernissage, we invite you for a discussion about art with the artists taking part in the exhibition and the Gallery Program Board - Andrzej Biernacki, prof. Jerzy Fober, dr hab. Dariusz Jurus and prof. Andrzej Szarek.
