Exhibition accompanying the Project 'European Pastel Festival - 7th International Biennial Pastel Exhibition - Nowy Sącz 2018'
Mihai Ciplea was born in 1984 in Baia Mare (Romania). In 2007 he graduated from graphics at the Academy of Art and Design in Cluj-Napoca (Romania), and two years later he obtained a master's degree in the same specialty at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Timisoara (Romania). In 2019, he obtained a PhD in visual arts at the University of Western Timisoara at the Faculty of Arts and Design. He belongs to the Association of Romanian Artists (UAP). He presented his work at the solo exhibition at Jecza Gallery in Timisoara in 2011, at Atelier 030202 Contemporary Art Space in 2016 and at Új Kriterion Galéria, Miercurea Ciuc (Romania) in 2017. He is a laureate of the Distinction at the International Painting Salon, Baia Mare 2009; Grand Prix of the 6th International Pastel Biennial, Nowy Sącz 2013 and the Award of the Year awarded by the Association of Romanian Artists at the Annual Painting Exhibition in Baia Mare (Romania).
The exhibition will be presented in the historical halls of the Gothic House, branch of the District Museum in Nowy Sącz.
