The project European Festival of Pastels - 7th International Biennial Pastel Exhibition - Nowy Sącz 2018 is dedicated to the presentation of contemporary art in its most current and international dimension.
The aim of the project is to further promote one of the oldest in Europe (since 1987) and the only Polish competition review of pastel painting, as well as the search for creative individuality, the presentation of their works and the promotion of contemporary Possibilities of artistic creation in this historical painting technique. The project organization also allows to confront the work of artists from different countries and cultural circles, as well as to further promote Polish culture in Europe and in the world. The event program is designed in such a way as to expand the formula of the recognized artistic event of the International Pastel Bienniale, significantly increase the number of recipients and influence the development of their competence in the field of reception and interpretation of contemporary art, and encourage participation in culture.
On 6 September 2019 at 6 p. m., a ceremonial vernissage will take place, during which we will get to know the winners of awards and distinctions granted by the international jury, which was deliberated in December 2018 under the chairmanship of prof. Stanisław Tabisz - the rector of the Jan Matejko Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków.
On 6 September 2019 at 6 p. m., a ceremonial vernissage will take place, during which we will get to know the winners of awards and distinctions granted by the international jury, which was deliberated in December 2018 under the chairmanship of prof.
