The exhibition is fully devoted to the works of Karol Szostak. We invite all connoisseurs of the artist's art or wanting to get to know her.
Karol Gąsienica Szostak (born in 1963 in Gdańsk) - sculptor and illustrator.
He graduated from the State High School of Fine Arts A. Kenar in Zakopane (1981). In 1988 he graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw at the Faculty of Sculpture in the studio of prof. Jan Kucz. In the years 1988-1989 he worked at his alma mater as an assistant. Since 1990 he has lived in Zakopane, where in 1995-1997 he conducted classes in sculpture in PLSP im. A. Kenara. In 2008 he obtained a doctorate in the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, and in 2014 - a postdoctoral degree in the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk. From 2009, lecturer at the State Higher Vocational School in Nowy Sącz. Three times scholarship holder of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage. He presented his works in Poland, the Netherlands, France, Germany, Finland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and the USA on 40 individual exhibitions, he also participated in numerous group exhibitions.
The most important implementations include the sculpture "Acrobats" dedicated to Piotr Skrzynecki in Krakow, and the gravestone of Władysław Hasior at the Cemetery of Charities in Pęksowy Brzyzek.
